The rooms were clean with basic furnishing, offering a no-frills stay. Easy access to the main attractions with just a short walk needed.

Finding the entrance can be a maze. You have to punch a code in just to get through the door. The arrangement of rooms is confusing, too, with some being a trek away, requiring dragging luggage through narrow corridors. Issues with downgrading rooms seem frequent, and the amenities advertised often don't match reality-like the missing kettle or lack of basic hygiene in some spaces.

The hotel was charming in an old building, but getting to

The actual rooms was quite an adventure. It involved multiple codes and corridors, which might not be ideal for everyone. Once we settled in, the room was clean and cozy, and the location can't be beaten for exploring the Vatican.

We loved how close this spot is to all the big sights, especially Vatican City. My family and I (including hubby) enjoyed strolling through the vibrant streets and tasting local food.

For dads, it would be great if there were clearer directions upon arrival.
